    Abstract: Current radiometric calibration procedures for thermal imaging cameras are usually performed for a single calibration geometry. The uncertainty estimated from such procedure only represents the calibration scenario and does not account for variation of the emitting source's size; this is known as the size-of-source effect (SSE). In this work, the measurements of the SSE for four thermal imaging cameras (two in the long-wavelength and two in the middle-wavelength infrared range) are presented. The investigation shows that the SSE is smaller for the middle-wavelength cameras.

    Abstract: A model for the process of knowledge acquisition is presented that shows how naive realism emerges from a quantum mechanical background. We formalise this process of emergence and obtain in this way an illustrative insight to some of the most fundamental physical theories: GRW-theory and $E^\infty$-theory.

    Abstract: Im vorliegenden Aufsatz wird im ersten Abschnitt auf die grundlegende Vorgehensweise zur Systemidentifikation eingegangen, um deren Probleme aufzuzeigen. Im zweiten Abschnitt wird das algorithmische Verfahren zur glaubensbasierten Identifikation hergeleitet. Dabei soll insbesondere der Nachweis geführt werden, dass hier im Gegensatz zu Identifikationsverfahren, die auf der Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie basieren, alle Freiheitsgrade mittels Anwenderanforderungen eindeutig festgelegt werden können. Im dritten Abschnitt wird das Verfahren zur Prognose des Haltbarkeitsendes der Werkzeuge beim Gewindebohren eingesetzt.
